May is for Makers ...

I'm always late for the party, never on trend, usually the last to know! I had seen on Instagram some posts about buying quilting patterns but hadn't completely cottoned on ...

You can read all about this wonderful campaign on Lindsey's blog LRstitched - if you haven't kept up - like me - and bought a pattern from a self-publishing pattern maker each Monday for the 5 Mondays in May, please think about what I've done tonight ... bought 5 patterns in 5 minutes! I may be slow to start but I'm quick when I make up my mind to do something :)

In no particular order:

Pattern #1 - Triangle Dance from Carla @creatininthesticks

Pattern #2 - Four Squared from Jennie @porchswingquilts

Pattern #3 - Selvage Book Shelf from Jessica @JessicaQuilter

Pattern #4 - Hillside Houses Quilt from Cristina @ Pretty Little Quilts

Pattern #5 - Doggonecute from Lorna @sewfreshquilts

I will make a version of each and every one of these patterns - my god-daughter loves dogs so that's her 18th present sorted already!

Ladies, thank you for sharing your talents with us and for taking the time and care to help the rest of us be a little bit brilliant too ... you're amazing.

  1. I've not seen the bookcase pattern - it's great! I can guarantee you that the Dogs are Dog Gone Cute no matter what fabrics you choose. It's one of my favorites! Have fun with all of these.

  5. ha ha. Yea, I'm usually trailing way behind on the trendy parties too. And compulsively spend time and money in a "quick catch-up". Now you've got to make ALL those patterns!!! good luck.
