London calling ...

Today's post is quite apt really. Splitting my week between London (job) and North Wales (home) is working out well but I do miss being in my home every night so that I can just slot in an hour's quilting here and there.

This fabric is so indicative of life in London:

And this is what I've made out of it for Christmas for my frolleague's 13 year old son:

And a larger Pants Bag for my frolleague (she's going to use it for socks):

I've also made a start on another quilt (but goodness knows when it'll be finished!):

I'm home for 2 weeks at Christmas and I WILL spend more time in my sewing room! I've so many UFOs to work on :(

  2. What nice fabrics and projects. My UFO pile is also quite large. Our two puppies are now at home and finding time to sew has proven to be rather difficult between puppy chores and total exhaustion from their schedules!

  5. Those are wonderful London fabrics. Sorry to hear you don't get a quilting fix until the weekends. What a shame! Have fun working on your UFO's during the holidays!

  9. Hey! I just used my pants bag over the Thanksgiving holiday. So nice to have. I like the socks idea. Hmmmm.

I've missed you, and I bet your sewing room misses you more! So glad you'll get some time to sew at Christmas. Great gifts for your friend and friend's son. I need to make more cushions as gifts. You always inspire me to simplify!
