Scrappy Sunday / Sunday Stash :)

Just a quickie today! Still visiting family so no sewing but in honour of my intention to use up my scraps, I have made another 4 blocks this week:

That brings me to 12 so far and still no dent in the scraps!

And yesterday, we went to Ruthin with my Aunty G - there's a lovely craft shop there so, of course,I had to pop in and make a purchase! Here's some lovely polka dots for my stash:

And dear niece just might be getting another quilt / big table mat out of this:

Hope you're having a super Sunday. Linking up with Sunday Stash, hosted this week by Lisa in Port Hope:

  1. "no dent in the scraps"--happens that way at my house too. There's a lot of potential in that quarter log cabin block--it will be interesting to see the end result.

  8. Look at you go! Keep on chugging, my friend. You'll make a dent eventually!

And I'm a total sucker for Christmas fabrics.

  9. I think scraps are like laundry - they multiply, I swear, when we aren't looking. Blocks are looking nice and before you know it you'll have enough for a lovely quilt. Who doesn't love polka dots?! They seem to look good on anything and in any colour. Lovely Christmas fabric too - I am a traditionalist when it comes to Christmas colours and fabrics and those look lovely. Reminds me - must finish off my Christmas quilt and soon.

  10. The more I try to work my scraps into something the more I'm convinced that I need to sort them by color instead of size. But then I think about the time that would take away from sewing and I lose my motivation to do much of anything about sorting them. I think I just need to embrace my stash of scraps. Perhaps we are meant to be together until death do us part.
