We were away this weekend so I missed out on my bumper Saturday-Sunday sewing sessions! I have started cutting for a new baby quilt / playmat I'm going to make for dear niece's fiance's niece (Saffron, who has her first birthday in April), I'm going for two bold patterned pinks for the letter 'S' and a mixture of co-ordinating Makower Spraytimes as the background:
I had to use all my fat quarters and then raid my scraps to make 50 x 7" Makower squares:
I can't lay them out, check my design and start sewing though until I clear my design / basting / sewing table - think I'll have to do a tidy-up this weekend:
Oh and I've nearly finished another Pants Bag which I'm making for an overseas blogging friend (I've bought her a Hera Marker too as she doesn't have one):
Linking up with these fabulous ladies:
It will be so cute, Jen!!!
ReplyDeleteThat will be a great baby quilt, but I'm very interested in the red black and white quilt also on your sewing table. Would love to see more of that one!
ReplyDeleteYou always have something (or many things) on the go! Looks like another exciting baby girl quilt is in the making. Love your fabric choices. Can't wait to see what comes of those squares!
ReplyDeleteThose fabrics are really very yummy! What a lucky little girl :)
ReplyDeleteIt will surely be a very sweet gift for a very lucky little girl. It's so nice to put the initial on it. So personal that way. I see you have hearts on that pants bag. I've been snowed in for two days and paper piecing for a couple of heart projects. One is finished the other has a looooong way to go. I'm hooked on blog hops, so can't post them until Tuesday....
ReplyDeleteBoo snow, I hate winter. I'm ready to go to work...that's weird.
Oooh, that is going to be a lovely quilt. Those Makower fabrics are pretty, but calming at the same time :-)
ReplyDeleteI like those Makower Spraytimes tonals. I need to have more fabrics like that in my stash. :) Making an "S" is such a cute idea. Can't wait to see it all put together.
ReplyDeleteWhat an awesome idea to make a large patchwork monogram. It will be darling.
ReplyDeleteLook at you, always sewing for other people! It's your turn next, am hoping to get something in the post for you tomorrow :-)
ReplyDeleteLooks like it will be a great quilt!
