My little niece is 13 tomorrow so I've made her a handbag and purse (and put a little shopping money for her in the purse!) I have used this tutorial before from Missouri Star Quilters, each time I love the way the bags turn out. This time I used a different stitch on my Juki to quilt it:
And my new thing this week? I made Bread and Butter pudding for the first time - it was yum-meeeeeeeeeee!
And tomorrow we go on our annual ski holiday to France with DH's sis and hubby. In 2011, I broke my ankle skiing. In 2014, I broke my shoulder shopping - my colleagues and all who love me have made me promise to be careful!
I will x

How fun to put money in the bag. I hope you come back from your ski trip in 1 piece (unbroken).
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful trip!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great gift. Have a fun skiing trip.
ReplyDeleteLucky niece, and lucky you for your vacation. Please do be safe!
ReplyDeleteLovely bag, hope you have a great holiday!! I love bread and butter pudding, but never made it either :)
ReplyDeleteLovely gifts! And money to go shopping too? Wow!
ReplyDeleteYes, be safe on your trip. My friend has gone on vacation to Turkey twice: the first time she had appendicitis and the second time she broke her ankle....

Do hope you have a fabulous holiday, with nice soft snow! I've made bread and butter pudding with leftover croissants too, extra decadent! x
ReplyDeleteBread and butter pudding! Yum!
ReplyDeleteThe bag is so pretty - what a lucky girl. Have a wonderful holiday. Me, I'm a stay inside the lodge kind of girl. I just like to look at snow, not be in it!
Really cool work. Now take care on those slopes!
ReplyDeleteYes, have a ton of fun but be careful! This was the first year that I had Panettone and I would imagine that it would make great bread pudding! Love your bag - I must look that tutorial up and try to make one. Perhaps tonight I'll start one.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a wonderful time. But take it easy!!!
ReplyDeleteHow lucky is your niece such a beautiful present. I am sure she will love it. Have a wonderful time but no accidents please hate to think of you in pain.
