I had a really good first week back at work ... don't get me wrong, I missed home, the Christmas decorations, the time off - but in many ways, I like it when things 'return to normal' and doesn't it make you appreciate the weekends even more?
Last night, I finished the binding on the cushion for the lady at work who's retiring this month. I enjoyed making this Dresden Plate cushion very much and, as Jane enjoys gardening, I'm hoping the flower and outdoor theme will hit the spot:
Also, just as a little extra ... one of my Pants Bags for her netball games:
My little big sister visited before Christmas and asked for a 'scrappy iPad case' - your wish is granted, dear sis:
And the back:
There's a lot of quilting activity going on out there this week and I'm doing my best to keep up but, in the meantime, I'll just keep tinkering away in my little oasis here (my delightful sewing room) on a very blustery day in Wales. Happy weekend :)

ReplyDeleteThe weather's not so great here either! Your cushion and pants bag are just delightful what a lucky lady and your ipad case is fab, isn't your sister lucky you can just 'whip things up' for her!!
ReplyDeleteYour presents must be most Welcome, since they are so beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI`m working on a little something that comes from your sewingroom, and it will stay in my sewingroom!
I hope that I will be ready with it soon!
Take care!

The pillow is beautiful, as expected. You inspired me - I got out my Dresdens and will get to working on them!
ReplyDeleteI do love the holidays, but I'm so happy to be back to my routine again. And to make new goals and start new things. Here's to a wonderful 2015!
Aww. The best gifts from talented you. You are getting back in the routine a lot earlier than I. A couple more weeks and my "normal" should return. Happy New Year, my friend.
ReplyDeleteYes, I do like getting back into routine and yes, it does make you appreciate the weekends a lot more. I love your little ipad case. I have yet to do a zipper - maybe this year it will happen. Aren't dresden plates fun!! I love doing them and someday will make a whole quilt. Have only done little projects. Have a great week Jen!!
